Did any show have an episode built around the day? I can’t think of anything.

Neither can I. But I know I've seen sitcom episodes that had a character or characters believing in some superstition, I just can't think of any specific ones right now. LOL.

You’d think some show would have had an episode where everything went wrong for someone on this day.

I'm basing this on the episode title. I haven't watched the episode.
"Friday the Thirteenth", The Gale Storm Show (also known as Oh, Susanna) season 2, episode 16 (1957) Believing they’re doing the right thing when they learn that a sweet little old lady passenger is facing financial difficulties, Susanna and Nugey break one of the strict ship rules in order to help her — which, of course, leads to a series of comedic complications and hijinks typical of the series. |
