Default What bands/artists came from your town?

ASHANTI.

She is the reason I hate my town even more than I did before her untalented voice was exposed to the world.

I could go on forever about who came from Seattle, and I could also say who WENT to Seattle to get popular. But in the suburbs of Kent and Auburn, Metal Church came from Kent and New American Shame came from Auburn.

Sarah Maclaughlin came from nova scotia and Anne Murray came
from a place really close to where my town is, but most of you guys probably dont know who Anne Murray is.

Don Brewer of Grand Funk Railroad(" We're An American Band")
went to my high school in Swartz Creek, Mi. He was 3 grades ahead of me in the 60's. The others came from Flint , Mi which is only a few miles away . Also, actress Sandra Bernhard(Roseanne) was born in Flint.

Anne Murray did some songs I remember in the 70's like "Snowbird" and "Blessed Are The Believers" and...there's a hit on the tip of my tongue and I can't remember it right off, but it
was really popular I think in the late 70's/early 80's.....

Anthony Kiedis from Red Hot Chili Peppers used to live in Grand Rapids MI ( it's about 10 mins from Grandville.) I think he moved when he was 12 to live with his dad in California.
