Eddie decides to quit school and make a cool $80 a week working in a service station.
Wally and Lumpy stop by the station, and hear Eddie's boss reading him the riot act. They leave, convinced Eddie's not doing well in the working world. Eddie becomes upset that none of his friends can hang out with him on his day off. Sensing all of Eddie's problems, Wally talks to Mr. Farmer, the principal, who stops by the station and tells Eddie how the track coach misses him. It works, and Eddie joins Wally and Lumpy for the ride to school the next day. |

Weren’t Eddie’s parents rather lax with him, in allowing him to quit high school in his senior year to take a job working at a gas station and also letting him get his own apartment during his senior year at Mayfield High School?
I recently saw an episode of “The New Leave It To Beaver” on YouTube, where Eddie wants absolutely nothing to do with his apparently estranged father, whom Eddie hasn’t seen in years. By the way, did Eddie have any siblings? I can’t remember if he did or not? |

Eddie never mentions any siblings.
In the new LITB, he has two sons, played by his real-life sons. |
