The title is literal - Wally's girl problem here is a too-tall date for an exchange dance with another high school. For this reason the boys supposedly don't know the girls--but Eddie purportedly has met Wally's drawn date.
Eddie maneuvers Wally into a trade--Wally falls for it since the girl Eddie drew is pretty in a yearbook Eddie conveniently has. But in a later meeting with the girl, she's--as Wally puts it--a giant. In a funny scene later, June enters as Wally is about to deck Eddie--after Wally finds out Eddie knows the too-tall girl. The rest of the episode consists of Wally over-dramatizing the problem with Ward and June, finding out at the dance that the girl wore flats and doesn't appear as tall, and shrugging off phone calls from Beaver, who is offering excuses for Wally to leave. Thoughts? |

This was one of the eps I saw as a teen when I first got interested in LITB. You know, before I never caught the double meaning of the title, "Wally's Big Date"!
