Did anybody like the fourth season episodes with Jonathan Winters? Why did you like/dislike them?

I liked them. The show had already changed, not for the better, before the fourth season. Mork was pretty much an earthling. A lot of people say he ruined it
for them, but I don't understand why really. I think the idea was cute and happy and all that jazz and I loved the way they all got along. The whole concept was just limited - I am surprised Mork last four seasons in just one place; anyone or anything adapts to its environment - has no choice. Of course, I still say Exidor should have had his own spinoff. jenn

By the the fourth season, the show had run out of steam, but it was fun to watch Jonathan Winters and Robin Williams do their thing; I heard they often strayed from the script and both comics, two masters of improv, took full advantage of that.
Aside from the Williams/Winters bits, the show was pretty much done... |

They weren't my favorite episodes, but it was pretty funny to see a grown man act like a child. The first time I saw the episode with Mearth's birth was in re-runs on my local station back in the late 80's, and I just laughed my butt off it was so funny.
Mork: It's a boy! Mindy: It's a MAN! I think that's how their reactions were, lol |

That's what turned me off to Mork and Mindy after they did that. They changed the whole premise of the show. Mindy's dad and her grandma were great comedy relief. So were the couple who ran the deli and Tom Poston and Exidor. But when they did that with Jonathan Winters,my set got turned off. The episodes from 1978-1981 are the best, but not the last season. I didn't watch them then(I was 10 when it happened),and I won't watch them in reruns.
