Ward is irritated when Wally buys a junk car without consulting him, but Wally assures him he just wants to work on it, since he doesn't have his license yet.
Comedy ensues as Wally tries with friends to fix the car, and as he moves it to varying spots to try to keep it more out of sight. Mrs. Ashby walks by and gives the Cleavers a dirty look, and June comments that she has a beautiful and perfect yard. Out of growing frustration, in an effort to get rid of the car, Ward contacts junk yard operator Mr. Garvey, assuring him all the parts were there. Before Mr. Garvey arrives, Wally starts selling parts. Mr. Garvey arrives and blows his top at Ward, since the car is now stripped. Wally uses the parts money to pay Mr. Garvey to haul the heap away, and Ward wonders why he was angry. Some pretty funny scenes in this one. Early in this season we start to see what becomes many more Wally-centered episodes. Thoughts on the episode? |
