I saw the episode the accident in the garage the other day.
I also made sure to notice his belly button!!!!
I liked the comedy in the storied Chico is telling Ed about how rough he had it growing up.
When Chico was talking about having a father around" to hit you when your bad and hug you when your good" I couldn't help but try and imagine what kind of father Freddie would have been to his son had he lived(and without the drugs.)
Anyone else curious about this? Any ideas?

I think he would've been a grat dad. I read where he lvovd the kid so muceh he thought he was assweet as pie & nicknamed him Pie. Also when Kathy divorced him & would've let him see Jr. It hurt him so bad he ended his life. So sad...

Just watched the Strike episode earlier with Mike & noticed how thin Freddie was. His arms were so skinny & he hardly had any shoulders he was so small. Wept...

I noticed he wore a jacket throughout most of that show. It must have been an attempt to make him look a little less thin.
When I watched CATM when I was in grade school I never paid attention to or maybe I just never noticed how sickly looking he begame as the show progressed.

I think you are so right! You folks on here are so observant. When the show was origionally on I was a teenager & never noticed that. Poor Freddie...

I think Freddie would have been a wonderful father. Being so sensitive, I'm sure he would have taken the time to be with his son, listen to him, and give him the benefit of all the life's lessons he had learned. It was very sad, how hurt he was when the marriage broke up and he felt he would not be able to see his son. He loved him very much.
Those last episodes cause me to cry. He had lost so much weight. It seems that he was internalizing all the pain he was going through. I think he maybe expected too much of himself. Maybe he felt that he should be able to handle whatever circumstance befell him. I only wish he could have gotten in touch with someone who could have seen the real issues behind his smile and let him know that the problems had viable solutions.
It is such a tragic loss...(weeping)

You are so right about Freddie probably thinking he should have been able to handle his circumstances, but when you think about it he was only 22. I know things are drastically different now(maybe because I'm older) but kids today just don't seem as mature as they used to. Freddie was so young and had so much responsability and fame so fast it was hard I'm sure.
I remember in Maria;s book when the hercules cartoon people wanted to meet Freddie(age 4) he said no mama tell them I'm not ready yet I'm scared.
It's too bad that Freddie seemed to lose the ability to tell people he wasn;t ready or that he was scared. Being able to share your feelings through tears is a good thing but sometimes it's better to be vocal too.
