Post Preacher Freddie

I just finished watching CATM on my tapes. I watched the episode where Chico delivers the serman for Rev Beemis.
That is so funny. I just laughed and laughed
I think that had Freddie really gone into the ministry he would have put a lot of humor in his sermans.
If it isn't sacreligious it would be fun to make up some sermans we think Freddie may have used. What do you think?

I think he would've made a great preacher. I would've supported him.

In his Mom's book she tells how at a gig of his at a comedy club he preached a sermon the whole time instead of doing his act. The audience didn't like it & neither did the club owner. The club owner fired him because of it. I admire that, that he took a stand for his faith even tho it cost him the gig. That set a good example for me.

I admired Freddie for doing that also, he would have been a great minister. His humor would have been a big plus in sermons. I admired Freddie in that he wasn't afraid to show people he had faith in God. Some people in Hollywood would not have done the same.

I belong to a Protestant church which uses a liturgy, and it is not very often you find a pastor who can sing it--some parts of it (and many of the hymns we frequently sing) are quite high. That would be the other main benefit of having Freddie as preacher--not just humorous sermons, but someone whose beautiful tenor voice would make the liturgy a heavenly experience!

I also saw this episode found it very humorous. I think Freddie would have made a fine minister. I read in the book where Isaac Ruiz kind of made fun of him when Freddie mentioned it, so he did not mention it again. I wonder if that was the reaction of many people? He would have been wonderful because of his faith, love for God, compassion for people, sensitivity and the ability to bring smiles to everyone. I think if he had become a minister, perhaps he would still be with us. I feel that he understood that only things in the spiritual realm--last. Maybe he was disgusted with what he saw in Hollywood. I know he was hurt by it. Yes, he had such a gift and charismatic personality that he would have been a huge success whether in the ministry, entertainment industry, or whatever profession he chose. He was Magic!

That's odd that Isaac would be like that. I wonder if he was just joking. From what I read in Freddies Mom's book, Isaac had alot of faith in God & his dad was a preacher & he had everyone joining together while he prayed for Freddie when Freddie was in the hospital during his last moments...
