There were only 2 CBS stations in 1972 that refused to air Abortion episode
And both of those stations were in the state of illinois. One station was in Champaign, Ill and the other was in Peoria, ill. Initially it was supposed to be a friend who was pregnant but Lear felt that was too easy and felt the star of the show should be involved
