There are dangers to unsecure sites. It's probably best to ask TJ, which I will do.

WARNING: The site Dude posted is not secure.

Thumbs down

Dont be so naive! You have drunken the Kool-aid!!!

Encryption of sites that have NO NEED to be encrypted ONLY benefits those who WANT TO TRACK US - like Google!!

I disagree about all this crap that all sites should go https. It makes no sense for a site mainly made up of forums/discussions like this to do this. As for protecting news sources how does going https help?

Uneducated folks might be impressed but I recognise this as not useful (NSA,etc can still access everything) and as something naive users want because they dont understand that everything on the net is there for the taking. Privacy on the net is only to the extent that the user keeps his/her mouth shut not only on the net but with everyone so someone else doesnt publish whatever it is the person wants to be private. Plus, these days to be private one has to avoid public places as much as possible which is not very feasible so giving "false hope" to people doesnt make sense. Teach them to keep their mouths shut and dont ever upload photos of themselves or their loved ones.

I dont want an internet that ONLY caters to people who have been lied to and falsely believe they can safely vomit everything about themselves all over the net because it is encrypted. Encryption will not solve the problem you want solved. That can only be done by your exercising self restraint and not posting information about or photos of yourself on the net. Homeland Security will not be stopped by encryption. Neither will hackers.

Continue to regard the internet as we all did stevie when it was new and was great (Web 1). We considered it to be the "wild wild west" and we stayed anon and did not vomit personal information that should be private anywhere on the net. If you continue to regard it in that manner you wont need encryption of everything. You want to CRIPPLE the internet. Dont you understand that is the plan? To get users thinking like you are thinking so its encrypted and you really then let loose with all your private information? Just what our rulers want so then they sweep in and really OWN you.

Wake up -- THEY ARE BOXING YOU IN AND YOUR TRYING TO BOX US ALL IN!!

I cant stand you brainwashed people anymore...... You dont have your own lives, your living like they want you living and its sad.....

I've already asked Todd -- so why not calm down?

Let's see what he says -- it's his site.

I have shown Todd they are lying about all this.......

When he finally alowed HTTP for a month,he could see all this is BS.........

He just didnt like the attackers coming in so he made it a little harder for them again.... But he knows now he is being lied to....... I care about Todd!!

Testing that old outdated site from 2003, which may have been a legit BBC site back in the day, caused me all kinds of trouble just now when I was clearing history.

Right now I just need to close this thread so others can avoid trouble. This is why it's not good to click on links to old outdated sites.
