Rags to Riches- Pilot had Nick becoming a foster father to six orphan girls. But poor Nina was Chuck Cunninghamed, starting with episode two there were just five girls. She does appear in a clip show that includes scenes from the pilot.

Heartland- Marion Fleming was killed by a spooked horse during a bad storm in the pilot. That set up the original premise of teenage daughter Amy's grandfather Jack, Marion's father, taking care of her. Marion's other daughter and Amy's sister Lou moved back to Heartland from her job in the big city of New York.

Rick (Greg Lee) was the handyman at WNYX in the pilot episode of NewsRadio but was replaced by Joe (Joe Rogan) in the second episode and for the duration of the series with no explanation.

Boy Meets World ~ Topanga (Danielle Fishel) is shown to have a sister named Nebula (Krystee Clark),but she only appears in the Season 1 episode “She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not”...
unless you count Clark’s return as an entirely different character named Valerie in the Season 2 episode “Wrong Side of the Tracks.”
