One of the better-known episodes, penned by Connelly and Mosher. This is one of the first episodes where Gilbert becomes the new Larry where Beaver is concerned. He convinces Beaver to make a face with him, in the school picture. In a plot device to be repeated later (for example, in "Sweatshirt Monsters"), Gilbert bows out, leaving Beaver out to dry.

An upset Mrs. Rayburn calls Ward down to the school, and Ward of course later rakes Beaver over the coals.

In the end, the photographer figures out that he can retouch the photo to hide Beaver's deed.

Any thoughts on the episode?

Today you would have many digital options for doctoring the photo. Another example of where modern technology has obliterated potential plot points.
