Default Why was there only one Christmas Episode?

I noticed that there was only one Christmas episode for Three's Company which as aired in December of 1977. But after 1977 there were no more, I wonder why?

A good question. It would have been nice if a few Halloween episodes were made, too.

Question

I also enjoy seasonal shows...Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. This is only a guess, but perhaps some shows don't do them to avoid future problems in syndication. I personally have no objection to watching a Christmas episode in June, but it's a thought. This may be true with the hit shows that are positive that they're going into syndication for the rest of eternity.

Halloween episodes are only appropiate for family comedies. Not comedies like Three's Company.

Didn't the Jeffersons have a Halloween costume party episode or was it just a party?

Yes they sure did-That's why I never understood it since there were no children on the Jeffersons at that time. But i heard the Three's Company only Christmas episode was great so i'm defintely looking forward to seeing it in December on N@N.

I think Halloween shows can work on pretty much any shows, because there are Halloween parties too and a lot of adults attend those.

Most shows only have one Christmas episode if they even have one. I guess the producers didn't want to do another Christmas show.

In my opinion, Halloween episodes are better for family comedies since children are involved. I just really couldn't see Jack and thegirls dressed up for Halloween. That's probably why there are no Halloween episodes for Three's Company.

Are you saying that you have not seen the Christmas episode ever? If not, note Joyce's hairstyle. I think in this episode it looked best. I know a lot of people (on this message board and elsewhere) like Janet/Joyce with straight hair, but I think her hair was at a peak in this episode.

I know of one show that doesn't have a Christmas episode and that is Here's Lucy. I never really understood why the show didn't have one.

You should see it! It is definitely worth watching! You'll enjoy every minute of the episode - - - no kidding. I rate the episode a 9.5 out of 10.

I can't really put it into words why the episode is so great. It has all the elements of a classic TC episode. The interaction between all the characters is great, and it has some great moments. From what I've been told, there was a Chrissy/Stanley duet scene in the episode, but it got cut out of the syndicated version. *sigh* But even without that scene, it's a great episode.
