Lynn Redgrave, an introspective and independent player in her family's acting dynasty who became a 1960s sensation as the freethinking title character of 'Georgy Girl' and later dramatized her troubled past in such one-woman stage performances 'Shakespeare for My Father' and 'Nightingale,' has died. She was 67.
Her publicist Rick Miramontez, speaking on behalf of her children, said Redgrave died Sunday night at her Manhattan apartment. In 2003, Redgrave had been treated for breast cancer. http://www.popeater.com/ |

I just read that.
She was a great actress and from all the interviews I've seen with her, seemed like a really great woman. God bless the family...

I am so sick over this. I adored Lynn. She was BY FAR my favorite Redgrave and she was so cute in Georgy Girl and House Calls. I had the pleasure of seeing her speak in the mid 80s at a NYC Aids Walk Event. I'm really going to miss her - on many levels. Besides being a kick-ass entertainer, she was a lovely human being.

Lynn Redgrave always exuded a warm, very accessible quality about her. She seemed very nice, very down-to-earth.
The chemistry she had with Wayne Rogers in House Calls was great. It was never the same once she was fired. You'll notice the show only lasted one season after her departure. A truly tragic loss. |

I always liked her too. I watched her appearances on Bill Maher's old "Politically Incorrect" show and she really seemed like a sweet, decent lady.

She was fantastic as Jon Cryer's mom in Morgan Stewart's Coming Home.

So very sad. I loved her in House Calls. I saw Georgy Girl a few years ago and she was great in it. She was so young and Alive. R.I.P. Lynn.
