An I Love Lucy New Year’s Day:

(At the Wednesday Fine Arts League New Year’s Eve pageant, Fred is dressed as Baby New Year while Lucy literally dropped the ball when it came to dropping the ball at midnight. The ball crashes down and breaks into a million pieces.)

Lucy: “Ewwww.”

(Carolyn Appleby sees this.)

Carolyn: “Oh my gosh!”

(Ricky does a facepalm and starts muttering in Spanish.)

Lucy: “Oh I really messed up Ethel. Too bad we have to clean up the mess.”

Ethel: “We? I am not cleaning up after your dumb move.”

(The boys come in.)

Ricky: “i saw two things I didn’t want to see. The ball dropping on New Year’s Eve faster than the speed of light and also when Fred bowed his head in embarrassment, his outfit that I found out that you made torn.”

Lucy: “Ewwww.”

(Carolyn comes by.)

Carolyn: “Lucy, after what you did, why…”

(Lucy cries.)

Carolyn: “…we got the biggest positive reaction that we could’ve positively dreamed of. Thank you.

Lucy: “Oh wow!”

Carolyn: “You still have to clean everything up. Happy New Year.”

(Everyone is celebrating. Lucy laughs then cries during her cleanup.)
