Smile jake and the girl that reminds me of janeane garafolo

I think that the nerdy girl, whom I'll call "Janeane" because I can't remember her name, should hook up. Jake and Dylan are getting old. Besides, I don't think that Dylan isn't all that pretty. In fact, I think "Janeane" is prettier, just not in a conventional style. She's even funnier and seems more intelligent, I mean like not so breezy and airy, ya know? Anyways, tell me what you think. . .

I can't believe it. I told my husband last night that Penny reminds me of Janeane Garofalo." He said he thinks she's really pretty but they're downplaying her looks.
It's obvious that they're cooking up a Penny has a crush on Jake storyline. The end shot of Penny with the watch indicated that, but I had a feeling about it anyway. She's a funny character.
Now it will be Jake pining away for Dylan while Penny pines away for Jake with Dylan and Jake being in the dark of course. I bet when Dylan finally starts liking Jake, he'll be interested in Penny, and that's where the plot thickens.

Last night episode was actually one of the better ones. I think Jake and Penny would be a good match.

Constance Zimmer makes up 65% of the show. She is witty and has a lot of spunk to her. Yeah they downplay her looks but she is quite the eye candy! She keep the show in pace since the Dylan and Jake thing is going to get lame really quick!

I agree. Penny is much more interesting than Dylan, by the way.

Hmmm. It is quite possible they might keep the whole Penny thing on the back burner in case the writers are having trouble getting of the whole Jake/Dylan plotline off the ground.

I can't believe that now I have to watch this show because I want to see what develops!

Damn You "Good Morning Miami!"

Jake and Penny could be the Plan B. I bet you more people would rather see Jake and Penny together than Jake and Dylan. Plus, I can already tell that Dylan will like Jake later on when she stops dating Gavin. Of course, this is probably when Jake and Penny are together.

Default Where is going to go.

Here is just my 2 cents! I think Penny will begin to show her affection towards Jake during an event and thus blossom into a steady progression. Then suddenly Dylan will begin to realize that she and Gavin just don't have the character their relationship needs. She will begin to miss Jakes passes at her and she will confide in someone and the word will get out to Jake. Jake spends the next few episodes being torn about the whole thing. Meanwhile Penny being who she is will start to push Jake towards Dylan because she knows that is what is got him all wound up. Where it goes from there is a anybody's guess.

So that is just an idea. If I am right as time goes on then the show is too obvious. NBC shows tend to do that. Any other takers on what might happen????

I sure hope they change the time slot and don't skip the show like the last few times for the other headliners.
