Holt McCallany, David Costabile, Jesse L. Martin to Recur on "Percy Jackson" Season 3
"Percy Jackson & The Olympians" Finds Its Atlas in Holt McCallany; David Costabile & Jesse L. Martin Also Join Season 3 Cast in Guest Roles
by Katie Campione December 22, 2025 "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" has settled on who will be portraying the larger-than-life Titan Atlas, as well as two other notable characters set to be introduced in Season 3 of the Disney+ series. Holt McCallany (Mindhunter, The Waterfront) has been cast in a recurring guest role as the legendary Titan, also known as the Bearer of Heaven, who was condemned by Zeus to hold up the celestial heavens after the last Titan war against the Olympians. Atlas has recently been freed from his burden and now seeks to lead the armies of Kronos in a war of vengeance. Atlas is a pivotal villain who serves not only as the primary antagonist for the third season but will continue to cause problems for the main characters throughout the remainder of the series. Deadline understands that McCallany will appear in six episodes of Season 3. David Costabile (Billions, Suits) will also be a recurring guest star in Season 3 playing Dr. Thorn, a stern military academy headmaster who demands obedience from his students. Fans of the book series will know that Dr. Thorn is only this character’s human manifestation, though, to preserve spoilers, Deadline will refrain from revealing exactly which mythological form he takes. For a refresher, book readers meet him early on when Percy and co. attempt to recruit two powerful demigods to Camp Halfblood. Additionally, Jesse L. Martin (The Irrational, Law & Order) is joining the Season 3 cast as a guest star. He will play Annabeth’s mortal dad Frederick Chase, a sometimes absentminded but truly brilliant military historian that Athena deemed worthy to parent her daughter. Per the character description, though Frederick and Annabeth have had a complicated relationship, he loves her, and they have been finding a way back to each other. https://deadline.com/2025/12/percy-j...ad-1236655257/ |
