When I was listening to music I found The Bodyguard soundtrack and that was the very first Whitney Houston album I had and that album made me a Whitney Houston fan and I remember when I Will Always Love You was my favorite Whitney Houston song. But I never figured out why The Bodyguard soundtrack was such a huge hit bestseller? I get it because I Will Always Love You was overplayed on radio stations around the world but I never knew why I Have Nothing became a monster hit next to I Will Always Love You? I also discovered that The Bodyguard soundtrack in addition to Whitney Houston songs also had Aaron Neville and Kenny G Curtis Stigers Lisa Stansfield and Joe Cocker songs on it too. Did people buy this soundtrack simply because of Whitney Houston? And was other singles released from it aside from the Whitney Houston songs?

Why I think The Bodyguard soundtrack was a bestseller in 1992 was simply because The Bodyguard was Whitney Houston's movie debut and judging how popular Whitney Houston's version of I Will Always Love You became it proved two milestones for Whitney Houston as The Bodyguard was her first movie and the soundtrack alone became her first soundtrack to become a bestseller. But when Waiting To Exhale's soundtrack debuted Whitney became soundtrack queen
