What is your favorite quote from LITB? I love the one in my sig. Here it is for those that has the sig option turned off.
Lumpy: Did you go out for anything, Dud? Dudley: Well, I went out for football, but I got my finger stepped on, so my mother made me quit. Eddie: Well listen-- I went out for basketball and I got my hair pulled, and my mother made ME quit. Dudley: It's not that I was afraid of getting hurt or anything; it's just that-- well, it's kind o' hard to play the flute with a busted finger. [Eddie and Lumpy suppress laughter] Another one of my favorites was the episode where Beaver wants to buy a camera for Wally for his birthday. Beaver spends the money on something else, but buys Wally some cheap little toy for a birthday present. They are at Wally's get together and Wally unwraps Beav's present. Eddie makes some kind of snide comment like "I had one of those in the 4th grade." That isn't the exact quote, but it's kind of close. |

I have lot's of favorite quotes...
But I'll only mention a few... (These aren't EXACT quotes...) JUNE: State is where your father got me! BEAVER: You mean you and dad went out on dates? WARD: We sure did! JUNE: Beaver, your father and I weren't exactly on Social Security when we met! WALLY: Dad, if Eddie's dad says it's ok, can I buy his rowing machine? JUNE: Wally, what on earth would you do with a rowing machine? WALLY: Well, I could develop my muscles, and if I go to a college that has a crew, I could go out for it. WARD: Suppose you go to a college that doesn't have a crew, what are you going to do then? WALLY: Heck, I guess then I'd just be stuck with all those muscles! (I know Jenny likes this one too!) From my favorite ep, The Haircut: WARD: Wally, what do you know about this haircut? WALLY: I think it'll grow back in about a week! I have a lot more, but I won't waste any more space. |

This one's from the haircut too...I think its really cute.
(Forgive me...its LOOOONG. It's more like a scene than a quote) BARBER: What's the matter son? BEAVER: I think I losted my money. BARBER: Well, it looks like you founded everything else in town! BEAVER: Would you give me a haircut for a nice glass doorknob? It's hardly got any scratches on it at all! BARBER: Well, my boss is out of town and he wouldn't like it if I gave you a haircut for no money. BEAVER: (thinking)...Put it on my tab! BARBER: You have a tab? BEAVER: I might have!...What's a tab? BARBER: It's a charge account like Mr. Todd has. BEAVER: Oh. BARBER: Look, why don't you go home and tell your parents what happened. Then ask him to give you the money again...Anybody can lose money! BEAVER: Yeah, but not as good as I can! BARBER: Why don't we just call your parents and have them ok the haircut for you? BEAVER: I don't think we can do that. BARBER: Why not? BEAVER: I think our phone's been discontinued! How did I know all of that you ask? This IS my favorite episode and I have it on tape. I've probably seen it a million times! |

Here are some more good ones, off the top of my head, so they aren't exact:
(Adolescent Eddie is wearing shaving lotion) June: You shave, Eddie? Eddie: No, but I like to smell like I do. Eddie: Sports are fine Mr. Cleaver, but my Dad wants me to grow up in a normal manner. June: I don't mind Wally going out for football, I just don't like the idea of him playing.
