"It: Welcome to Derry" Hits 5.8 Million Viewers and "I Love L.A." Reaches 1 Million, Two Series Highs for HBO
by Selome Hailu Dec. 11, 2025 On Sunday, HBO aired the seventh episode of “It: Welcome to Derry” and the sixth episode of “I Love L.A.” to great results, with both achieving a series high. Episode 7 hit 5.8 million viewers across HBO and HBO Max in its first three days of availability. This statistic comes from a combination of Nielsen’s measurement of linear viewers on HBO’s cable channel plus Warner Bros. Discovery’s own tally of streams on HBO Max. In addition to marking the series’ best viewership yet, Sunday’s episode helped pull the show up to an average of 10.7 million viewers per episode to date. In addition, the series has reached 18.3 million viewers across episodes in total. “It: Welcome to Derry” ranks among the three biggest series debuts ever on HBO Max, coming behind video game adaptation “The Last of Us” and “House of the Dragon”.
