Default Question for Mark B.

ok, sorry, this is dumb, but, being the crazed Barbara Billingsley nut that I am I have to ask......
Mark B.,
You worked as an intern or something on the NLITB set right? Did you meet Barbara? Did you huh? OMG if you did...I would be SOOOOOOO incredibly JEALOUS. If you did tell me what she was like...Was she nice? Jeez. If you didn't just tell me to shut up...everyone else can just disregard this!

Sorry I didn't PM you about this, but Sarah (FOL85NatandMrsGRock) would want to know too...

Hey all...

Yep, I met the entire cast at one time or another in 1988-89. They were all very nice really. Barbara was very nice, gracious, and professional. My impression of here was that she was very much like June, especially the more independant version of June from the new series.
I even heard her use the word 'damn' one day! Not in mean way either- she was making a joke as I recall...
The person I worked for on the show told me that pretty much everyone on the show was very much like their characters, except for Ken Osmond (and his sons too)- they were nice normal people in contrast to their characters. In fact, Ken was probably the quietest and nicest of them all.

In short, the whole experience of visiting Mayfield was not disappointing or disallusioning in any way. The only surprises were that Tony Dow was a little shorter than I expected and the Cleaver house seemed a little smaller inside than it feels on screen.

Mark
Hope that helps!

Oh God...Sarah's gonna love this!

She (and I) get the biggest kick out of hearing her say "ass" on Airplane...It cracks us up(esp. Sarah) to hear her curse.

Thanks so much for the info Mark B. If only Sarah and I could be so lucky to meet her...
