Britney Spears when I was 9. 98* Played a free concert for my school when I was 10 (we won the Z100 concert thing). TRL Tour when I was 12. Good Charlotte Saturday Night, when I was 14... whcih I still am.
The best was Good Charlotte... Because other that the Britney Concert, they were the only people I liked enough tobuy their albums. The TRL tour sucked. I liked rap then, but it was 102 degrees outside, we had lawn seats and could barely see the stage, and we werent alowed to stand up. Security threatened to throw anyone who stood up out. stupid. And beyonce knowl's singing was so high pitched that the speakers screeched and stuff. They song gospel, which I hated. Nelly was good, good performance and all... But I swear it was retardedly hot. The GC concert is the only one that I actually got to meet anyone fromt the band from (other than 98* but they werent famous yet, nor did I like them ever... so I didnt really care.) and I got 98* autograph too. But i liek GC much more than I like them, so I liked that better. Plus the show was more fun in general. AND I got pics of me and Joel together, which i didnt with 98*. And I always hated 98* (dont know why) so i spent most of the concert sitting in the corner with the 8th grade boys lol. Ok. Worst was TRL tour... Best was GC. Britney was kinda bad too, but i liked her then... but she was like... Pole dancing for a 5 year old audience. ew. |

Rush with .38 Special March 1980
Jeff Beck in Sept. 1980 U2 in May 1983 Yes in May 1984 Amy Grant in Nov. 1985 Metallica with the Cult in Aug. 1989 Aside from a whole bunch of Christian concerts it was a lean time for shows. Even though Amy Grant was/is a Christian artist, she was promoted as a pop artist (her first crossover tour). I did get a ticket for the Monsters of Rock tour with Kingdom Come, Metallica, Dokken, the Scorpions and Van Halen, but didn't go. I did go see Stryper in May 1985, as well... |
