Yeah, thats really tough. That happened to me once when I didn't understand the work so I brought it back and the teacher was all pissed off. You should have your parents call her and explain why the work wasn't finished...

Teachers really stink sometimes. I know I started a topic here about stupid things that teachers/college professors do. Maybe we can bring it back up.

Teachers are supposed to help you learn, not punish you for not understanding.

Holy crap! You guys have to stay after school for hw?! That's crazy! That's why it's called HOME work. I just wouldn't stay and tell the teacher that you have other things to do & that they can't make you stay after. HAve your parents talk to the teacher, and I hope they tell him/her off!

I would've just put something down. If any of my teachers did that, I would just put something down and say that I tried.

That sucks I usually do hwk that I dont get during hr, or doing first or second period, but yah, ive never got in trouble for not having hwk, I would jus get marked off on a grade or get zero, or depending on the teacher, I could talk my way out of it

Yep, that's why kids get pissed and either don't go or retailate...insane rules that make absolutely no sense.

Yep. I always compared school to a prison. You sit at a desk all the time, just like a jail cell. Then you get up from your cell and walk down the crowded hallways and go to another jail cell. Get to feel freedom at 3 p.m., but it spoils the mood when you realize you have to come back.

You know, I used to like high school much more than college. But now...NOTHING could get me to go back to the prison of the damned. This morning I woke up a little late. I still could have made it to class on time, but I said f*** it and didn't go. In high school I would have done detention...college...nothing. IT'S SWEET!!!
