I was just wondering...When reading Jerry Mathers' bio, I noticed a little something. Barbara Billingsley added a little bit to the book and in one part she says something like (about Hugh Beaumont) "At first we didn't even get along. He called me a Pollyanna and that teed me off"
What does it mean to be called a "Pollyanna"?

It's nothing serious. But being referred to as a Pollyanna, is really nothing more than being called a goody-two-shoes.

It also means someone who always sees the positive side of things no matter what. It's from a movie popular in the early sixties with Hayley Mills as Pollyanna.

Thanks guys...I think boechsner's definition was what she meant. I can see someone calling Barbara that...even though she WASN'T (IMO, although I've never met her
