Post what about F.P's 1/2 brother and sister?

Does anyone know if there are interviews somewhere with Eddie and Rita, Freddie's 1/2 siblings?
I think it would be interesting to get a perspective on their thoughts of Freddie and the relationship they had with him,as well as the relationship with Karl.
If Karl did abuse Freddie in some way-probablly emotionally was he that way toward his other children too?

I was shocked when I read that one of Karl's children died as a result of Karl not keeping an eye on the child at the time. Then the death of Freddie. He must have been really torn apart at the loss of 2 of his children and especially the circumstances surrounding it.

Karl Pretzel lost a daughter from his first marriage, and then he lost Freddie at 22 when married to Maria. I don't remember the book, but it sounds like from you guys he may have had 3 children from his first marriage. Some one please clarify for me since I don't have a copy of the book handy. Freddie is a product of the second marriage, and the only child of Karl and Maria...

Karl Pruetzel was married twice. The first marriage he had 2 children. Alice and Rita. Alice is the one who drowned. She died at 5 years of age.

According to Maria's book Freddie tried to convince his brother Eddie and sister Rita to move to California as he was lonely so as of that time they were around but I don;t know about now.
It sure would be interesting to talk to them and see what their take on things was then.

Ed - I don't think there is a 3rd child from his 1st marriage. Freddie is Karl's 3rd child from Karl's 2nd marriage to Maria.

From what I read, I think Karl had the brother & sister Freddie talked about wanting to move to CA & then the daughter that died... If he had more kids I am unaware of it. Maybe someone on here knows more...

I think in his moms book it says Freddie went to his half brother to talk to him about Kathy leaving him after she left him & Freddie cried when talking to him. Would love for them to share on here.

Wow, this is really interesting. I would like to hear from his half brother and sister regarding their feelings, relationship with their Dad and Freddie. I do not think Freddie's Dad was abusive. In his Mom's book, she explained that after the tragic loss of his daughter, he was understandably withdrawn. Also, he was an older parent when Freddie was born. I think there was alot of love between them and Freddie even said that his Dad had a great sense of humor that inspired him a great deal. I cannot imagine how his heart withstood the loss of two children!

Freddie said he was inspired by his Father's sense of humor. I think a sense of humor goes a long way in helping a person through things eg Karl
The trouble comes when everyone is so busy laughing we fail to hear the crying Eg Freddie
