Rush announces new female drummer for 2026
The surviving members of Rush have announced that they have recruited a new drummer for their upcoming Rush 50th Anniversary tour. The new drummer is Anika Niles, a proficient drummer who has demonstrated a unique percussion style. The band plans to showcase her abilities for an upcoming tour in the coming year after a long hiatus following the passing of Neil Peart in early 2020. The inclusion of Niles is unique in that she is a female drummer with an impressive career prior to her being signed on with Rush.
