Arrow Larry Hagman's pick for J.R. Ewing

Larry Hagman was asked who his pick was to fill the role that made him one of the biggest Sex Symbols to hit our T.V screens.

Wait I take that back he became a Sex Symbol with his first flame as the handsome astronaut who woed Barbara Eden on the 60s sitcom I dream of Jeannie.

But to my point Larry Hagman's pick was Nicolas Cage.

I'm big a Nicolas Cage fan and I like his pick, after all Mr Cage pulled off Castor Troy on Face/Off well.

The news is that John Travolta has been picked to play the Devil J.R. Ewing.

I myself would settle for a old Larry Hagman to come back as the Sexy Devil, but I guess he's not as sexy when he was the the master of the beautiful bombshell Barbara Eden wanting to meet every one of his needs and when he was the man in ripping people off and screwing their lives.

Larry Hagman will be in the movie as a Rich Oil King who tries to screw J.R., by the time J.R. is finished with him he is ready to jump out the window.

Heres a thought maybe Eden could play his wife again for the 4th time. I'm sure they would still make a handsome couple. Wait the last time they acted together they were Ex lovers not married.

My Vote Goes With Nicolas Cage As Devil J.R. Ewing.

I think Jeff Daniels (of the My Favorite Martian movie) would make a good JR. Glenn Close would make a great Miss Ellie, imo

Adrian Pasdar would be perfect.

Did you ever see the short lived series "Profit"?
If you did, you'd know what I mean.

I thought David Hasselhoff or Richard Dean Anderson would make a great J.R.

But there was something about Larry Hagman that made him so great. After all the man made blackmail, lies, power, money and sleeping around look good.

Can't wait till the new movie comes out since Larry Hagman is going to be in it.

I wonder if they will have any of those fights the Ewings had that ended in the South Fork Swimming Pool. I loved the one when J.R. and Sue Ellen got married a second time and after the wedding J.R. had a fight with some guy and fell in the swimming pool but that did stop him from wanting to kill the man.

I thought Tommy Lee Jones was gonna play JR in the movie? Tommy Lee Jones has a new movie coming out called The Hunted with Benicio Del Toro, the previews look good. Tommy is too old to be chasing after people.

I'd heard TLJ also. Not sure how I feel about it, because to me, there will always be just one JR.

'Dallas' actor wants Willis to play JR
Saturday, September 3 2005, 14:52 BST -- by Daniel Kilkelly

Former Dallas actor Larry Hagman wants Bruce Willis to take over his old role as JR Ewing in the movie version of the series.

Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones and John Travolta have all reportedly joined the film, while Hagman is convinced that Willis would be perfect to join them.

"I think he'd be great," Larry told The Mirror. "He has a great sense of humour, he's manly, and he's had enough women in his life.

"Playing JR - it was like a licence to steal."

I heard Larry mention on television he wanted bruce willis too. But if they already got John Travolta, hey that's okay by me. He has always been MY FAVE MAN since Welcome Back Kotter days.

Maybe John Travolta will be playing Cliff and Brad Pitt ,Bobby. If the 3 of them do get to be in the same movie together then thats a pretty good cast.

I agree, although I have nothing against Bruce Willis. But I could certainly see Kevin taking on that role. In one of the commentaries for the first season, Larry Hagman did go on about wanting Bruce Willis to play the role of J.R.

It may sound crazy but Al Pacino comes to mind. If he got the southern accent down and had the grey hair, he plays an excellent villain
