Hi everyone! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

How is everyone doing? I have been getting emails asking where I have been and ugh my life the last few months has been both a nightmare and a dream.First, I lost my job last November and was going on interviews for no success. Then my dad needed heart surgery and I decided to back away for a bit to help him. In the meantime, I have moved into internship phase at school (I am in a weird situation where I am already a counselor but to complete this degree I need an internship which can be a job). Oh boy had that been a mess. My first internship (unpaid) expected me to work for 40 hours and do things like go to events, and clean the office. When I stated as I am unpaid I am only doing actual counseling things. They then wanted me to work during my breaks though the school forbids it. They then were rude to me and gave me poor reviews.

So I decided to look for a job and got an offer right away. In the meantime I interviewed at a second location. The first place offered me a job and I accepted. I started there and my first week the second place reached out for a second interview but I had already accepted the first. I was at the first location for three weeks and for some reason they didn't like me so they let me go. I've never left/got fired a job after three weeks and most of those weeks were in training. In the meantime job #2 was still open, I did a great interview and the job is closer to what I want. It was Friday and still haven't heard but they said they should be soon. Hopefully they will this week because otherwise I have to take this part of internship again.

So on top of this I have other classes. It's been rough.

I hope he is doing better every day!
It sure sounds like you have had a very, very busy time ... do you think you will ever be able to find that "perfect job" you have been looking for?
Hang in there -- things have got to get better.

So, how is the "WAR ZONE" know as Chicago?
