Default Lisa Whelchel commercial

Did anyone else see the little commercial with Lisa Whelchel? It was on today, and it wasn't like a regular commercial, it was one that ran on the TV Guide channel thing.

She was advertising a special package version of "the Little Drummer Boy", that animated Christmas special. Not a cartoon, but the one that uses that stop-animation like Rudolph.

I don't know if there's a full infomercial about it (there sometimes are for those promos that run on TV Guide channel), but there might be.

I think I read how she was going to be doing a commericial for something. I'll have to start watching the TV Guide channel more often. I'm not sure if they have an infomercial out for it. Around 3 in the morning all they show is the hair straightners, 60s Golds cds, teeth whitner, and exercise equipment infomercials.

I guess you didn't see Lisa's Journal from 10/7. Here is a link to a post on here that has some information about it.

http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/...threadid=47299

You can also check out the journal archives on www.lisawhelchel.com .

The basic thing is that it IS an infomercial, and they are doing some repacking and such of the show. I don't know when the airing schedule is for it, or if there is internet information about it. That's the scoop though!

Hey all I'm new to the group. Before I start I wanna say I might have sent this email out but I'm not sure so I'm writing it again. Ok anyway I'm writing to you all because I read that someone saw Lisa's infomercial on the tvguide channel. well I have a few questions if you don't mind. What time was it on? Where you watching the tvguide channel or were you flipping through the channels and just happened to see it? If you were just flipping through the channels then that is incredible luck that an fol fan saw it. Anyway I desperately wanna get this thing on tape so if you could respond and answer these questions I'd grately appreciate it.

Did you by chance die your hair brown, or does it just look darker because it's in a picture? I remember it being blonde.

(Btw, it's Karly... remember me and Elizabeth squeezed in the seat next to you to sit behind Steve?! Lol)

Hiya Christine,
I'm not exactly sure of the time that the commercial appeared, but I know that it was in the evening.

I usually have my tv on while i'm surfing the web, and if there's nothing good on i'll leave it on the tv guild channel (to check if something good will come on later, hee hee). That's how I saw Lisa's commercial.

I hadn't heard that she was going to be making this commercial, so when it came on, I was like, "cool!"

The strange thing is, I haven't even seen it since, but i'm guessing it will be on more with the holidays coming up. Good luck!

Hey all. this is Christine. hehehe. um ok well I'm kind of confused about how all this works. How do I start a new thread and how do I show I'm replying to a certain message? since I don't know how to do any of that yet I'll just keep doing what I am doing cause you guys all seem to be able to figure out who I'm responding to. hehe.
Yes Karli I remember you and Elizabeth and my hair wasn't blonde when we met. hehehe it was, is, and will be brown for awhile.
I will tell you the story but since I don't know how to start a new thread I'll just keep it like this. hehehe.
Ok, My friend, Kassie, and I made a plan that we would both go to WV, stay in the same hotel, and see Lisa together. We tried to stay in the comfort inn but it was all booked up. we wanted to stay there cause we heard Lisa was there and then we found out that she was infact there. We ended up getting rooms by each other in the sleep inn. So my mom and I left our house and drove 12 hours to WV. When we got to the hotel we went into our room and about 5 minutes later I heard all this giggling in the hall so I peaked out and it was Kassie, her sister, and mom. I was sooooo excited. We had gotten gifts for each other so we exchanged the gifts and then we went to Applebee's to have dinner together. When we were done that we went back to the hotel and watched Lisa, and fol related movies and looked at magazines and pictures we had brought. We went to bed, got up, got dressed, and headed to the church. Kassie had gotten two t-shirts made, one for each of us to wear at the church. I guess you all saw them online but if you couldn't make them out really good Kassie's had a pic of Lisa and her family in Disney land and mine had a pic of the second time I met Lisa, in CT. Both shirts said I love you Lisa on the bottom. When we got to the church we were both flipping out but when we waled in and Kassie saw Lisa's books she just lost it and started crying. We went in to the church room, saved seats for ourselves, then went back into the lobby. Everyone was talking and chatting and buzzing about and so we started talking to a lady who worked there. We asked her which kids were gonna be with Lisa and if she was coming through the front door? The woman said she wasn't bringing any of the kids and that she was coming in through a side door. We were dissapointed about the kids and we turned around to walk into the church room again but just then Kassie turned back around to see Steve walking up the sidewalk and Lisa right behind. She walked in, gave a hug to the lady we had been talking to, and then it was like magic, Lisa looked over at us and I guess she recognized me because she was like oh hi, how are you? and she came right over to us. Of course as soon as Lisa walked in the door Kassie, let out a scream, broke into tears, and fell on the floor. So when Lisa came over to us she gave Kassie a hug, me a hug, and shook Kassie's sister's hand. We stood in the lobby talking for awhile and taking pictures. She asked us if we met online and we said yeah. She asked if we met on the sitcoms online website (I think she asked that cause she remembered how Karli and Elizabeth met) and we said yes to make it easy for her but we actually met on a whelchel emailing list. After that we went to our seats and Lisa went to talk with the pastor. When she came out she sat infront of us but off to the side so we could see her and steve really well. Everyone was asked to stand up and shake there neighbor's hands and Lisa shook mine and Kassie's. The pastor spoke for awhile and then announced Lisa and she went up on stage. She told everything about her life from when and where she was born all the way up till now. When she started talking about her trip she mentioned her journal and how tons of families were taking the trip with her and then, infront of about 700 people, Lisa asked me and then Kassie to stand up and she introduced us and said she met me in Glens Falls and then she announced Kassie. It was really amazing. Later she asked anyone who hadn't already done it that wanted to, to except Jesus into there lives. Kassie and I did. Then she asked everyone who did to go up to the front of the church. Kassie and I did, and LISA CAME OVER AND PERSONALLY PRAYED WITH US!!!!! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS THE BEST EVER. Anyway after we went out and got the gifts we got them all and waited in line. well actually we were last in line but when we got up to Lisa there was another line forming behind us. Lisa was fixing her coffee and Kassie asked her what kind it was. Lisa said it wasn't starbucks and she also said she gets the plain old drip at starbucks cause Kassie asked her. We gave her, her gifts, and then we waited for everyone else to finish having things signed cause we had tons and Lisa realized that. During our wait Lisa asked me to throw her coffee away. AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH I FELT SOOOOOOOO SPECIAL BECAUSE IF HER KIDS HAD BEEN THERE SHE WOULD HAVE ASKED ONE OF THEM AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH IT WAS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The gifts Kassie gave were given in huge bags and Lisa said she was gonna save them and use them for christmas, (so look for them in christmas pics). After she was done signing everything we had pics taken and Kassie and I did something very special for her. We did a skit from the fol reunion movie. The hello maggie I'm Blair Warner Warner part. It was great and Lisa was really shocked. She said it took her forever to learn that and Kassie told her it took her 15 minutes. It was really cute. Somewhere in between there Kassie asked Lisa what her fav gum is and Lisa said it depended on what kind of mood she was in. Then she said probably Juicy Fruit. It was a very exciting and fun experience. When we went outside though we had our pics taken infront of the welcome sign for Lisa and they spelled her name wrong. They spelled it Lisa Welchel. Oh well It was a lot of fun and I was glad to be able to meet Kassie finally and to get to see Lisa again.
BTW Kassie and I are planning to see Lisa again in May in Michigan and again next November in PA. lol
