In the short-lived show-"Me and the Boys" Steve Harvey's character name was Steve Tower instead of Hightower-lol

Yes, I have seen it. I was in college too at the time but I remember it real well. I didn't watch it all the time, just every now and then. It came out in 1994-95. Steve Harvey was a widower with 3 boys. I actually liked this better than Steve Harvey Show. His character was more serious than Steve Harvey Show, it was a little more realistic. I guess that's why I don't care for The Steve Harvey Show because I think it is a ridiculous plot. C'mon, now the principal wearing short skirts? The teachers and and faculty chasing other co-workers in the school. They were as bad as Romeo and Bullethead. LOL

I remember "Me And The Boys." Excellent show. It was called the black "My 3 Sons."

The show reminded more of "Roc", and "Thea." I thought the little girl that was Steve's neighbor and Steve's youngest son's classmate was very funny. She and Steve had great comedic chemistry.

The actor that played Steve's oldest son went on to do a lot of tv guest star work. Including "The Steve Harvey Show", in episode 6 he played Sarah's self centered football player date. He is best remembered role was Aaron, Kim's equally dumb boyfriend on "The Parkers."

If you feel that way about the two shows. Check out the first season of "The Steve Harvey Show". Most of the first season, had the writing style of "Me And the Boys" being more realistic and serious. In the first season, I thought the Romeo character was a cross between Steve's oldest and middle child on "Me And The Boys." Towards the end of the first season, it slowly stopped being that way and became more cartoonish. The introduction of Lovita in season 2 was the final straw in that direction.

I agree with all of this. Me and The Boys was of a much different caliber than Steve Harvey's WB series. Lovita ALize Jenkins, LoriBeth's character and Cedrick would have been very out of place in the ABC series and had she lived I don't think someone with serious acting chops like Madge Sinclair would've been caught dead on the WB show. Come to think of it, I can't think of any really good quality actors of Ms Sinclair's caliber ever appearing in Steve Harvey's WB series. It was basically a low rent affair that won a lot of NAACP Image awards because Harvey is a card carrying member of the NAACP and the UPN shows are/were worse than it was. With the NAACP they have to save face and give awards to something even if the programs are all of relatively very poor quality.

You are receiving episodes of Me And The Boys? How? And what episodes?

Am I the only one who thinks Me And The Boys is basicly My Wife And Kids without the wife.

The Towers and Kyles children are very similar, exept for the genders of a couple of the kids. The oldest is not very smart, and the middle child is rebelious.

Ok, let me know.

Do you agree with My Wife And Kids comparison, on how Me And The Boys is like My Wife And Kids minus the wife.

The kids on both shows are similar. The oldest child is not very smart, and the middle child is rebellious.

I don't think so. My Wife and Kids was kind of a rather dumb, unoriginal series if you ask me. Me and the Boys' children were nowhere near as stupid as the ones on MW&K. Jr Kyle was hands down the dumbest black male teen character I have ever seen on TV.

Maybe but Artis Tower is not that smart either. At least, I think so. Maybe it is because I have seen Chaz Lamar Shepherd play so many dumb characters I feel that way. (Aaron from "The Parkers" come to mind) The two episodes of "Me And The Boys" I saw at the museum of tv and radio, Artis didn't seem to be that bright. If you look at the early episodes of MWAK, Jr. Kyle was not that dumb, he got dumber as the show progressed.

The only intellegent character I have seen Chaz Lamar Shepherd play was a guest star role on "Moesha" in the episode "Million Boy March." And his character was a male supperiest, which in a way is a dumb character.
