Default Funny things you believed about the world as kids

1. It is spacious enough inside turtles' shells that they can go all the way inside and have room to MOVE AROUND inside, kick back, relax, etc as if it was a small portable house. They can even store items inside their shells like food, etc...

2. Animals like dogs and cats can silently communicate with each other just like we do, we just can't hear them, like in movies like Milo and Otis, etc...

3.No distinction between Washington DC and Washington State, when I was little we made a Boston trip *from TN* and we made a stop in Washington DC, I get to see the White House, Capital, etc.... When my uncle showed me the map of our route, it confused the HELL out of me how we detoured ALL THE WAY to the North West tip of the US on this excursion, lol don't judge, I was really young lol

4. I from a time when ppl still called Indigenous people "Indians", so I didn't have a concept of the difference between Native American Indians and India Indians, and couldn't understand why some were from here and others from India.

5. As someone who's fearful of water, I thought the whole US could drop into the ocean, I could just be standing around and MASSIVE amounts of water would come gushing at me from all angles and consume me,

6. The laughter you hear on TV sitcoms, is actually the collective laughter of everyone watching the show in their homes... Sooooooo You have to be really quite when you talk if you don't want what you say broadcasted to everyone through their TV speakers lol

7. I thought when a TV sitcom started over from the pilot episode, the actors actually were RECREATING the series again and again and again, lol I was thinking MAN they have to remember every little thing they did, said, etc... to remake the episodes perfectly.

8. Wrong number phone recordings were REAL PEOPLE, and their job was to constantly sit in an office some place, waiting for the phone to ring so they could tell you, "We're sorry the number you have reached is no longer in service...."

9.I, as well as many other kids in my kindergarten and 1st grade classes, thought our teacher must have another job some place, b/c we didn't grasp that TEACHING was her job lol, others thought the teachers lived at school

1. I would hear about Kentucky as "The Bluegrass State," so I thought that once one crossed the state line, all of the grass there would be bright blue...!

2. Right before beginning school, I thought that all teachers wore uniforms. As it turns out, the ladies I had seen in uniform outside the school near me were not teachers -- they worked in the cafeteria.

I used to think that a horse's bridal was holding it's mouth closed and it can only open the very bottom, without the bridal I thought a horse could open it's entire FACE, like its entire face was a mouth!
