I have never found out the story of how CBS decided to have their own Thanksgiving Day parades every year? Was it because CBS wanted to have their own answer to Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade? Or was it because CBS had always wanted to have holiday parades? I always had perferred CBS's Thanksgiving Day Parades to Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades because CBS's parades are better and you don't have to sit through a bunch of Broadway musical acts that Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is famous for having as a preshow. Another thing I find surprising is how this parade gets mega ratings than Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and I think CBS tries to make their parade more successful. Another thing they should do is broadcast it on Paramount+ for free every Thanksgiving rather than give it to Paramount+ Premium subscribers and that would score high ratings every year
