In The Parking Attendants, I actually saw an African American. Kim Hamilton guest starred as a Maid, of all professions. If I'm not mistaken, this is the only occurance of an African American appearing in the entire series.

I personally, don't think it was on purpose and I think it's really wrong to jump to the conclusion that they were racist. After all, at that time, you didn't see many African American in sitcoms in roles other than servants. I think that's just the way it turned out. Other shows can be put in the same category, like The Addams Family, The Munsters and Gilligan's Island, The Andy Griffith Show maybe, The Donna Reed Show, Hazel, Dennis the Menace. It was just the times.

calm down buddy! I was just asking a simple question! I'm only fricken 17 years old, i have no idea how it was like back then! We're only at the end of the 1800's begingin of the 1900's (we're talking only 1902 here) in US History, so I've got a lot to learn abour that area. The only reason it crossed my mind was becuase there are SOOOO many african american groups out there during this time period, so why aren't they on tv!?!?
