Will TV LAND ever show a Jeffersons episode from season one?

It seems like since TV LAND started showing the Jeffersons, The network never shows a episode from season one-it's always the seasons 2-11. I'm just trying to figure out why?

No, it's lately they haven't showed it. They aired season 1 so much before on Nick@Nite anf TV Land (early on) that they had too many air plays. I don't think it will be seen again, since Jeffersons expires Dec 31.

That sucks-Well I definitely know now that there is absolutely no reason to watch a Jeffersons episode on TV LAND. It should expire tonight-why wait

So don't watch it. Meanwhile, those of us who think the 1st season wasn't the best will continue to watch it. Personally, I think the 5th season was the best, and TV Land is currently in that season, and for a change they're airing almost all episodes from that season. Of course, they're skipping Every Night Fever again. But thankfully, I recorded it off of Nick at Nite back in 2000.

Exactly. I really enjoy the 1st season, and the 5th season also has to be right up there as one of my favorite seasons.

I'm not watching it-that's the point i'm making-i check the TV LanD schedule for the next two weeks and there is no episode from season one which is why i have no reason to watch the jeffersons onTV LAND

Can you buy the first season on tape or dvd? If so, your problem is solved.

I think I can only buy the first season on DVD. not VHS. So that's why i'm trying to tape season one episodes from TV LAND.

So is that why DVD's are $25.00 a piece because the actual DVD player is inexpensive? That's a bit much for every single DVD

All DVDs don't cost $25, and if some do, the price of the VHS tape isn't far behind.. I just bought the Monsters Inc. DVD for $19, and the VHS was $16.
I was looking at www.amazon.com, and the Spiderman DVD costs $17, and the VHS is $15. That's a good site to comparison shop for DVDs and VHS tapes.
So they do cost a little more, but that's because the quality is better and most DVDs have extra footage, behind the scenes, director's interviews, etc. Often the extra footage is as long as the movie itself.
Also, if you rent movies, video stores don't charge extra for a DVD rental, at least Blockbuster doesn't.
I own 3 VCRs and 1 DVD player, but every movie I purchase now is DVD. Down the road, I don't want to be stuck with all my VHS tapes and no way to play them--like with my record albums and no turntable.

TV Land did air one episode from season 1. It was episode 10 when George had to watch his temper for health reason's. It aired last week.
