I love this from the article

Quote:
How To Complain

• Be clear about the problem. Outline the main points of contention before you complain.

• Know your rights. Familiarize yourself with the company's policies.

• Tell the service provider exactly what you want. An apology? A replacement? Clarification? Be clear and factual.
They dont give a crap how we feel!!!

Its supposed to be THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT but its far from that!!

These companies do/change what they want and they dont give a rats crap if we like it or not..... Most people cant tell a difference which hurts the rest of us who can!!

Like M&Ms.. Most people cant tell a taste difference from whole milk to skim milk which really sucks.....And these ppl walk all over those people, they take advantage of the fact they cant tell a difference.....

It really screws the rest of us over!

I dunno if it's true everywhere, but when you live in a small town, bad customer service is common place. I've gone into restaurants with more than an HOUR before the close, and they are mopping the floors and giving me dirty looks, telling me I won't be able to get certain items!

UNACCEPTABLE! and I always write them up, not sure it does any good

And there's that entitlement that leads shoppers to treat retail employees like straight up crap.

The companies are the ones setting the prices but the ones who are verbally attacked have nothing to do with it.

As someone who works 2 retail jobs right now, I 100% am. People get mad cause they claim they "called another store and said you guys had it" which may or may not even be true, or they'll roll their eyes at you if you tell them something isn't in stock "because the website said you had 5 of something". Numbers DO lie, all the time.

Yes I know about that buddy!!

I hate it when a company changes thier product and the case is changed to reflect that and on the website,IT STILL HAS THE OLDER DESIGN so it looks like they have the older stuff in stock when they just didnt update the design of that product on thier site!!

I have had that happen several times

I can relate. I recently invested money in a new company that my advisor recommended. i was expecting a cheerful "Welcome to ABC company" with my contract and thank you for choosing us. Also a paragraph on how to get on the Website to check my balance. Didn't get that, just the contract.

So in a few days, decided to try the website to look for the balance. I just tabbed the company name and hopefully would get me there. Had problems with authorization codes and never did get on. So I called the company. The gal said we will send to new password and it will be sent within 24 to 48 hours. I heard that and said I will call again in MOnday. It was late friday. I thought, Who is going to wait minute by minute for a help.I was expecting a code or new password with 5 minutes. The gal said the codes only last for
a short time. I was bent of shape.

Nope, as I said, I've gone to places with OVER AN HOUR to go before closing time. They're mopping the floors, giving me dirty looks, etc.. I asked "You all close at 10 right, that's what's posted on the door?" She says, "I have NO idea, actually." Someone comes out from the back telling me, "You can eat, but you won't be able to get.... *she names off items*" So yeah that's UNACCEPTABLE!

This closing time and store hours stuff can be a website problem. One national chain store I went to a few years back had a closing time on their site of 8 pm, but they were actually closed when I got there around 7:15. Another had that their fast food restaurant open on a holiday, and it wasn't. There are third party sites which show store hours, too, and they're never to be trusted--but the store's own site? If they're not going to be accurate, why even have a site?

I just go by what's on the door or sign of the physical building. If I'm ever out so late that it's "questionable" whether I would be inconveniencing them, I always look on the door or sign to be sure. As a rule I don't like to walk in 30 minutes before closing. The restaurant I'm talking about specifically, said 10pm closing on the door, and I walked in a little before 9, like 8:55, and they were in the process of closing and irritated I was there. The restaurant is otherwise one of my favorites, always good service and food.
