What do you recommend? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

For books to read? I understand some of you on the boards love to read and was wondering what are some good books? Mostly I read TV books, but I really want to read a novel. Im mostly into like the mystery horror, but am open to just about everything. When I was younger I used to LOVE the RL Stine books (except the Goosebumps) and I used to read all those hardcover books they used to have @ all the stores (Black Beauty, Wizard of Oz, etc..) if that helps any. Thanks!

Well... I read this novel once, and it was called "Speeding Bullet" and I don't remember who it was by, but it was awesome. If you like the R.L. Stine books you would like this one. There is some gore, but if you dont mind that you'll like it. I never read books, but that one was really good. And there was a Christopher Pike one I read that was really good that was split up in to like 6 different parts about this beach vacation.. I think it was called "The Beach" doi....

but anyway it rocked too. I never read anymore, but I remember those.

oh i love the wizard of oz series, i have all 14 of the ones written by L. Frank Baum.
anyway now i'm into much heavier stuff (i guess that's the word for it)

For heavy and more thought provoking stuff I recommend....
Homer's The Iliad
Utopia by thomas moore

For an easier and more fun reading time I recommend...
The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon
(or just about anything by Stephen King)
The Stranger (can't remember the author right now)

oh, and anything by Guy De Maupassant. he has mainly short stories, his style of writing reminds me of Edger Allen Poe at times.
my favorite story of his is called The Devil

I really love M C Beaton's Agatha Raisin series. They are murder mysteries set in this cute english town. The first book in the series is Agatha Raisin and Quiche of Death.

"10 Little Indians" by Agatha Christie is a good, short, mystery book. Anything by John Grisham is AWESOME.. "Rainmaker" is my fav.

Nope, that was pretty much it, I saw the movie first and wanted to see how different the book was. I don't think I have it anymore.
