I was listening to 80's music and I have never understood why Dan Hill's power ballad duet Can't We Try became so popular? Because it seems that this ballad was Dan Hill's 80's comeback and I can't figure out why it's a hit love song? Another thing I cannot figure out is how Vonda Shepard got to perform with Dan Hill on this hit? But it seemed to be Vonda Shepard's debut song and due to the success of Can't We Try Vonda Shepard became the face of Ally McBeal and released solo albums. I listened to Vonda Shepard and she reminded me of Carrie Underwood and it would be cool if Collin Raye could cover Can't We Try and have Carrie Underwood sing it with Collin Raye and it would be cool
