Talking Sheep Dog EP

I've never seen Wally laugh so damn hard ever.
That was great! And the look beaver had on his face when he was at the table looking at his family.
Ah, gotta love the last season.

HAHAHAHA I LOVE this ep!!! Wally's guffaw is the best part of the whole thing!!!! It's great! Even June has to fight off a laugh at one point because of Beaver's slimy hair!

I can't really tell if Tony/'Wally's laugh is genuine or not, but it is hilarious in itself that Beaver woulld slick and plaster his hair down like that and then really feel hurt by a very expected reaction.

If I had been directing a scene like that, I would make sure that Jerry was kept out of the sight of Tony [and maybe of Hugh and Barbara too] while his hair was getting slicked like that, and then have the closeup of 'Wally' shot first, where he was looking down-- and having him keep his eyes closed though this is unseen by the viewer. Then "Action" and he looks up at Jerry and just does not hold back his laughter-- let it be real. Then, when they all get it out of their system, do the expanded view of the dining table, and the other closeups as they are normally done. I don't know if this is how they did it or not, but I think we can be sure they really did a lot of laughing.

Was this ep. on Tuesday evening? Because if it was I was working then , so I missed it!! But I DID see it this summer when it was aired the last time. I vaguely remember it and how Eddie told Beaver to tell the girls they look like the guy on the cover of MAD magazine! I'm pretty sure it's from that episode.

I liked the June line, "This is one of our sensitive days."

I also liked how some makeup person probably put Dippity-Do on Beaver's hair to make it fall in those bangs.

And how Beaver glops all that junk on his hair. Just like the sandpaper and makeup in Beaver's Freckles.

Really poorly written as you say reminiscent of Beaver’s Freckles. I think Wally did a good job laughing after all Beaver asked if anyone noticed anything different. Wouldn’t it have been funny if June had the big guffaw? June looked so uncomfortable trying to avoid looking at that head and passing food. I don't think anyone ate a bite. All Beaver had to do was comb his hair or get a hair cut. That “Sheepdog, Sheepdog, Sheepdog!! was really lame.

Eddie saved the episode with his solution. And of course that coiffed-up, umpteenth Shirley screwed up the episode with all that emoting. Give it a rest!

Wally - No I don't think you look like a sheep dog - you look like gopher with bangs !

got to say Shirley's hair was kinda weird for a young girl ...

Glama Spray LOL Beav - Maybe you should give me the heavy duty stuff - she got hair like a sheep dog ...

Herrons Hair Oil, Crew Stay, Slick O

No Brylcreme or Vitalis !

at the dinner table Beav had the Alfalfa hair do including the piece in the back sticking straight up ...

His hair glistened and gleamed in the light so full of Slick O. The other kid was insulting Shirley too but they kept after Beaver only.

Shirley didn't seem the type to bust out bawlin'. She'd more likely have shot back an insult of her own.

"Leave It To Beaver" was brought to you tonight by Glama Spray. Ask any sheepdog you happen to see, what's the best hairspray? Glama!

LOL! He had so much gook in his hair he didn’t need the Glama Spray. I just don't know why they treated Beaver with such sensitivity. Just tell him he looked strange and why does he have all that slime in his hair. “Don’t wear that to school or instead of Sheepdog they’ll call you Grease Ball.”

Somehow after sandpapering his face and gluing his hair down, he made it thru.
