Tim Burton's success with the Wednesday series has many wondering if he would be a good choice to direct a Munsters reboot.

No. To me, The Munsters is the comedy pairing of Fred Gwynne and Al Lewis. I mean, who wants to watch The Munsters without Fred Gwynne as Herman, Al Lewis as Grandpa, or even Yvonne DeCarlo as Lily? They've tried many times to revive this franchise and it just never worked. Again, my belief is because of the absence of Fred and Al.

That's like when they made a Three Stooges movie. Yeah, the impressions were great, but at the end of the day, if I want to watch the Stooges, I'm going to watch the originals, not three guys doing Moe, Larry and Curly impressions.
