I just thought of who would make a great Gladys! That lady who played "Gunny" from Major Dad. She also was the teacher trying to steal school supplies in "The Brady Bunch Movie."

Both actresses have a really slacked chin that slopes down to their throat. I think she'd be great.

Yes, I agree that if a movie is made and the producers are trying to go for an actress who is like Alice Pearce, who originated the role, then Beverly Archer would be terrific. If they are trying for someone who's more like Sandra Gould, the second Gladys, then I would vote for Edie McClurg.
