Why was The Simple Life such a monster hit for FOX?
To be honest I had never even heard of The Simple Life until I picked up Season 2 on DVD at Target and as I watched some episodes of The Simple Life I can understand why FOX wanted to make this show a monster hit. Because Paris Hilton was becoming really popular in the 2000's and when paired with Nicole Richie I guess FOX wanted to see how a show with Paris Hilton would get ratings. I think once The Simple Life ended it's run Paris Hilton was planning to develop her own solo reality show for FOX but focused on other projects instead. But I never could figure out why this show scored ratings to become a monster hit for FOX? But in my eyes why The Simple Life became a huge hit was FOX wanted something exciting and fresh to their lineup and with Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton as their biggest stars FOX was indeed proud
