Post Does anyone know family info?

I'm new to the message board but a big fan of CATM. Does anyone know if Freddie PrinzeJr or his Mother have kept in touch with Freddie Sr. Mom. As close as MOther and son were from reading the book about her son it would be a shame if when FreddieSr died
she(his mom) lost contact with his wife and son. Everything I've read on these great sites and the book his mother wrote, and articles about Jr It never says if he sees his Grandmother Pruetzel. Does anyone know?

I know by some of the information given on this site that Maria Pruetzel is still alive. That Freddie Prinze jr spent his summer vacations, whe he was a teenager, with her in Puerto Rico; and that she moved back again to California to be closed to him. They have a close relationship (both Freddie jr and his mother Kathy) to Freddie's mother. Freddie jr is bi-lingual (spanish and english) but his accent is mexican; not puertorican like his father. He likes to read comic books and loves his fiancee....Buffy, the vampire slayer (LOL!!!)

I would really like to find out about Freddie's mom. She would probably be in her mid-70's if she is still living. She was born in PR, they lived in NY because that is where Freddie was born. When Freddie became famous, he moved his family to Van Nuys CA. It is when he died that I lost track of Maria. Could his parents afford to stay in that house? I belive his father died in 1979. I would love to tell her all the joy her son has brought to me.

Cool

I heard she moved back to Puerto Rico
after the lawsuit settlement was reached. If Freddie Jr kept in contact with his grandmother. Then why when he was about 11 did Freddie Sr manager Ron have to tell freddie jr how his dad died. FJ said that in an interview on more then one occasion.

I just haven't heard anything on her. I think after Freddie's death, she made an apearance on the Phil Donahue show. Someone told me this, but I did not see it. She may have relatives in PR, but I think it is odd that she would be seperated from her husband and son. I would think she would want to be close to where they are buried. I wish I knew.

And, I think the only way our questions are going to get answered is thru Freddie Jr. I am sure he will probably do the Howard Stern show again---especially when his Scooby Doo movie comes out in 2002 and when he marries Sara Michelle. One of us will have to get on the phone and ask about Grandma Maria....

I'm betting she wanted to be near her remaining family in PR & maybe it hurt her too much to be so close to their graves...
