Local stations today broadcast hours of news. You wonder what their preservation policies, if any, are. Maybe they should archive at least one sample of every news show per month, and any special event. Obviously some content is saved, since they can come up with archived footage now and then.
As for the Dumont network shows, and other early live programs, while it would be a nice thought to have preserved these shows, I'd have to wonder, how many people would have any interest? |

For those interested in the live DuMont TV Network shows, a new book about the network's innovative series titled Television the Way It Used to Be is available on Amazon.
