Angry Rachel's role diminishing?

Have you guys noticed that in the last several episodes Rachel's role is diminishing a lot? You'll probably say that it's because of the baby, but still, the show's main idea has always been the romance between Ross and Rachel. When the writers have stuck to this main idea, the episodes have usually been funny, clever and a pleasure to watch. Since the show started revolving around Monica and Chandler and the other characters (or Ross's very wacky behavior), it started to become annoying, boring, with a lot of made up stories that either did not fit or repeated themselves over and over again. I could hardly take it when Chandler was proposing to Monica and the whole season that followed with the wedding preparations. Especially awful is when Monica starts talking with the baby-like voice when she is supposed to be romantically speaking to Chandler (talk about bad acting...).

I wonder whether Rachel's diminished role has anything to do with the rumors that Aniston was shunned by the other cast members because of her success and because she did not want to do another season? I guess money usually makes people greedy, jealous and bitter... And yes, they are pushing it even now, the show should have ended last season. Well, they still manage to squeeze some laughs, but for pete's sake, they already dealt with Chandler's smoking several seasons ago, with Joey's being able to eat huge amounts of food, and so on and so on. These characters are supposed to be well in their 30s, but they are not progressing a lot, in fact this season Joey is regressing, since he is still the light-headed guy with no desire for a serious relationship. How much more ad dollars can the writers milk off of this show? Just marry Ross and Rachel and end it...

Ill tell u why. Because every1 disagrees with u. They r all very bored of the baby and rachel role. Everyone wants the chandler and monica. Plus Jennifer is working on other stuff so they r cutting her off.

I think they really should sort of get them married and get it over with. I feel that they should be together and even though Ross can be annoying I find him kind of funny.

I think they came up with the baby idea with the thinking that it would be the last season - Ross & Rachel get married - blah, blah, blah - the end. Once everyone signed on for another season they were left holding the bag on some really, really bad story lines. They've gone from stories to gimmicks and that is never a good thing in a sitcom. I think they've simply run out of new ideas, especially with certain characters - like Ross & Rachel. I still watch and laugh, I just don't enjoy it like I used to.
I personally don't buy into the rumors that she was shunned by the others, she's really no more successful outside the show than Courtney Cox or even Lisa Kudrow (though I'd take Brad Pitt over that idiot David Arquette any day).

Ross and Rachel should have gotten married again. She is getting less and less funnier but she is also gaining something too.
