Default Blanche Vs. Rose, LOOKS WISE

Ok, out of the four girls, Blanche is usually discribed as the PRETTY one, the SEXY one. And she should have, seeing as that was her part on the show. But I personally think that Rose is not only my favorite character, she also is the best looking character. Even better looking then Blanche. And Betty is THIRTEEN years older then Rue.

I definitely agree with you there. I'm only 21 so alot of my friends think this is weird but I always found the Rose character to be very sexy. It's something about her dopey attitude that just makes her very cute I think. Blanche I think is very attractive as well, but everytime she opens her mouth I find her less, and less attractive. Her Southern accent never really did much for me.

Smile

I think the character of Rose conveyed a more wholesome, innocent type of beauty which is attractive! While Blanche relied on physical attributes and a come-hither smile to attract men, Rose used her sweetness and innocence!

What a lovely bunch of sensitive guys we have in here

That's so interesting that you guys found Rose sexier than Blanche and I really like the reasons why you found that. I think, in real life, men are sometimes put off by women who wear too much make-up or offer themselves on a platter to a man. The innocence and sweetness of a woman is probably far more of a challenge. I mean, let's face it, Blanche isn't really a challenge...if you're a man with a pulse then you're her type

Keep in mind that Betty White played man hungry/catty talking/ Good Looking characters as well:

Sue Ann Nivens-Mary Tyler Moore
Joyce Whitman-Betty White Show
Ellen Harper Jackson Mama's Family.

Betty White Show Quote:

Actor: Joyce, could a get a pic of you.
Joyce: Let me pull myself together first.
Tracy: Sounds like a job for Superman.
Joyce: Tracy, I've never had your body....and I'm probably the only one in town to ever say that!

Oooooooo...interesting point! And you're right...

I've been seein' a lot of Ellen in the last few days, cause it had been ages---TOO long---since I'd watched any o' my "Mama" tapes. So now I got 21 tapes to keep me happy when I have time to pop 1 in! LOL

And yeah, I found Rose prettier, too...but sometimes Blanche did look really great.

I think Rose was prettier than Blanche as well.

Not only personality-wise, but looks-wise as well.
