Minneapolis locals gather to watch the restoration of a 20-foot pencil sculpture. Once an oak tree, it suffered storm damage in 2022 and was subsequently transformed into a replica of a No. 2 pencil. LiveNOW’s Christina Evans is taking a look as the big moment finally arrives.
Due to dulling over the past year, the pencil's tip undergoes a yearly "sharpening" ritual. This event has grown into a vibrant community celebration, featuring musical performances and large crowds.
