My favorite character is Murray. I wish that there had been a Murray spin off. Murray had a lot of funny lines.

Welcome, astro_smurf!!

Glad to have you here on this board. We've done the "favorite character" thing before, but this board's been kinda dead lately, so we can do it again. My fave is definitely Mary!!! She's just such a nice person, you've gotta love her! But of course, like all fans, I love all the characters equally.

Ted, then Rhoda, for sure, but Mary is so up there! Man, this is a tough one-- all the characters were so well-crafted.

I have always liked Rhoda for some reason, ofcourse I like about just every character, but she seems to stand out the most and she is one of my favorite characters on MTM.

My favourite character from the MTMS is Phyllis ,she steals every scene she's in,from the rivalry to Rhoda to driving everyone mad,when she works briefly at the newsroom.
Shame that in her own show "Phyllis",the character was watered down after a couple of episodes.
Love all the characters in the MTMS though!

I liked all the characters a lot. However, if I had to choose just one, I'd choose Ted.

I would say Rhoda. The writers gave Valerie funny clever lines. She by all means is my favorite. When she and Phyliss got together you could tell Phyliss thought Mary was of highter quality. But Rhoda put Phyliss in her place. I did prefer the years with Rhoda and Phyliss to Sue ann and Georgette.
