NewsRadio or WKRP - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Although I personally don't think so, many people feel that "NewsRadio" is a rip-off of the 1980's sitcom "WKRP in Cinncinati". How many of you feel this to be true?

I don't think it was a rip-off either. WKRP was OK, but I like NewsRadio better.

WKRP and NR are totally different, with the exception of the radio station setting and the fact that both shows featured nerds who wear glasses.

i watched WKRP today, and its nothing like newsradio. not a rip-off. Newsradio is soo much better!!!! i love it!

I don't think Newsradio is a rip off of WKRP, and I like it much better.
