Alf was a good show but as the seasons went on the show lost its juice. When they toned down Alf the show was not as good. I also think Alf was like Mork and Mindy. Living with a space alien is a good premise for a show but its not durable for many seasons. Like Mork and Mindy, the novelty wore off after 2 seasons.
Its a shame Alf got cancelled without a proper ending and send off with Alf successfully returning to his planet.
