Why is the 2025 Preakness being cancelled this year?

I heard that NBC is not gonna air the 2025 Preakness this year due to it being cancelled and I would like to know what the reason behind it is? I heard the 2025 Preakness was mainly cancelled due to NBC's low ratings for the Kentucky Derby. I think NBC wants to opt out of airing the Kentucky Derby every year as well as the other horse races so another channel such as ABC or CBS can air the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness every year because I think when it comes to sports NBC has started to become the weakest link in sports broadcasting

Where in the world did you get this information from? The Preakness is going off as scheduled! The ratings on the Derby were great, the best since 1989!
